- Plan financially for printing projects and buying fabric
- Time management is important, especially with history. Go to the library as soon as you receive the brief
- Always have sharp fabric scissors
- Be friendly with Hannie, she can be very helpful
- Voice your opinion if there is a problem, otherwise it will not be resolved
- It is not compulsory, but it is handy to have a mode of transport, preferably a car
- Always backup your work, you can use your CPUT email account (studentnumber@mycput.ac.za)
- Clean your flash drive regularly
- Get photoshop and coraldraw on your pc at home, you can't always rely on the CPUT computer lab
- Watch photoshop tutorials on youtube
- Practice your drawing and pattern skills in the holidays
- Learn how to use the library facilities, use database for research
- Press all your garments as you sew
- Try to stay ahead of the cyllabis
- Consult lecturers before buying fabric
- Make as much use of your lecturers as possible
- Pattern details are important
- Make sure your patterns are neat, ironing is helpful for this
- Take all subjects seriously
- Don't skip History core lectures
- Do Maryna's homework
- Use WGSN
- Try your best at Gerber and grading, do not give up, it is helpful in the future
- Always take notes and refer back to them
